Although the warm weather is upon us and Christmas seems ages ago, the most wonderful time of the year (besides June 26th) was only a few months ago. Cardinal Hayes High School cordially invited parents, faculty, and students to attend their annual Christmas Concert on a frosty Sunday afternoon. In addition to the concert, the exceptional students’ artwork was on display in the Art Exhibit for parents and others to view after the end of the Christmas concert.

Like everything else in Cardinal Hayes, the concert commenced with a prayer by Father Tierney who delightfully greeted and welcomed everyone who attended. To start off the concert, Mr. Pak and the advanced band came out and played several songs such as “All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth” and “Believe”, both by Michael Story. Afterwards, the Cardinal Singers filled the auditorium with Christmas spirit by singing songs such as “Perfect Light”, “Gabriel’s Message”, and “Gatatumba”. To enhance the experience of the audience, Father Tierney encouraged everyone to sing along as twelve brave volunteers sang “12 Days of Christmas.”

Finally to end the concert the Concert Band came out and played “The Angel’s Mix” by Patrick Roszell and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Michael Brown. The 75th annual Christmas concert was a wonderful experience for many and an event that many should attend in the upcoming years.
