An activist and a Beyoncé fan, L’hussen Touré is a sophomore at Cardinal Hayes High School. He studies AP English Language and Composition, AP World History, AP Biology, and AP Physics 1. He loves to create work that shifts the narrative concerning Blackness, Masculinity, and Black Masculinity. L’hussen has a passion for effective, emotional work that challenges intolerance and that empowers oppressed voices.

He intends to double major in Mathematics and Philosophy. A continued writer for Cityscapes and an active trumpeter for Cardinal Hayes’ Jazz band, L’hussen intends to be an astrophysicist, one of whom is consistently published in both activist and scientific spaces. When he is not writing, he loves deconstructing various horror movies, for which The Shining is his favorite.
